Vinylly Retentive Podcast
My first ever podcast is out!
I recently joined veteran music journalist Paul Rees for the third episode of his new podcast, Vinylly Retentive, released on 24th September 2026.
Paul had been following the development of my work as a visual artist and invited me to take part in the podcast after connecting with the work I was making.
Our paths had actually crossed many years earlier through Q magazine, where Paul was editor and I worked as a makeup artist, making this a particularly interesting conversation to return to all these years later.
In the episode, we talk about my artwork, my years working within the music industry, and ten songs connected to different moments and experiences throughout my life.
Music has always been closely connected to my visual world. From growing up fascinated by music videos, to later working with musicians and touring, and eventually developing my own practice as a visual artist, it has remained a constant influence.
Many of the songs I chose carry the same emotional themes that appear throughout my work: love, storytelling and human connection.
