CARING FOR YOUR PRINTS.

CARING FOR YOUR PRINTS.

A few simple steps will help protect your print and keep it looking its best for years to come.

HANDLE WITH CARE

Make sure your hands are clean and dry before handling your print or certificate of authenticity. Hold the print carefully by its edges and avoid touching the printed surface, as fingerprints and natural oils can leave marks.

Each print is personally signed in pencil. Avoid rubbing or touching the signature, as graphite can smudge. The paper is delicate, so take care not to bend, crease or roll it unnecessarily.

FRAME IT PROPERLY

Framing is the best way to protect your print. Choose UV-protective glass or acrylic to help reduce fading, along with an acid-free mount and backing board. The printed surface should not sit directly against the glass.

Where a print includes a border containing the title, edition number and signature, you can choose whether to display these details or cover part of the border with the mount.

FIND THE RIGHT SPOT

Keep your print away from direct sunlight, radiators, open fires and areas with high humidity, such as bathrooms. A stable environment will help protect the paper and preserve the colours.

STORE IT SAFELY

If you are not framing your print immediately, store it flat in a cool, dry place. Protect the surface with acid-free tissue paper or glassine, and avoid placing adhesive tape directly onto the print.

Keep the certificate of authenticity flat and stored safely in a protective folder.
