Under the Strawberry Moon

My first original Ink series, June 2025

Under the Strawberry Moon is the first collection of original paintings I’ve released and I’m really proud to introduce them to you. There are 11 in total, each one hand-painted using acrylic ink on cold-pressed, English-made watercolour paper.

These were made from instinct, no sketches, no overthinking. Almost like a transitional period, which is why I called the series Under the Strawberry Moon.

What followed was movement, feeling and flow. Each piece grew in its own way, like a garden I didn’t plan but recognised once it started to bloom. Silhouetted shapes appeared, curled, and breathed between the space. Some sharp, some soft, creating constrast that is hauntingly beautiful.

The red ink feels like something ripe on the edge of turning, allowing romantic seduction in the way the pigment spreads and settles into a raw and unfiltered composition.

These artworks carry the tension between what’s felt and what stays hidden. Between fragility and the bite pressed between pages.

I hope they find the right wall, the right room, the right person.
