ARTIST STATEMENT.
THE BEAUTY OF BEING HUMAN.
I am a British contemporary artist painter and digital artist exploring the human psyche, emotional contradictions and the relationship between conscious perception and the subconscious thought.
Observation is central to my practice. I am drawn to the subtleties of human behaviour, fleeting expressions, unspoken tensions and the space between people. Informed by personal experience, memory and an instinctive sensitivity to my surroundings, I examine the complexities of identity, love, loss and belonging.
My visual language moves between minimalism and expressive abstraction. Through simplified figures, gestures and negative space, I distil intricate feelings into their most essential forms. My abstract works draw on urban influences, instinct and the subs conscious, while my florals seek beauty within vulnerability, resilience and renewal.
These contrasting approaches reflect different dimensions of our inner lives, connecting what we reveal to the world with what remains unseen.
I invite the viewer to look beyond the surface, question what they see and discover their own mean within the work.
